The Mothers of the Heart project was a simple idea turned brilliant. These women, sharing their stories of beauty and strength and patience have already impacted so many- the comments, the love, the support that has risen because of this tiny community of women who were brave enough to speak their love boldly… I’m just in awe- and so grateful for Julia and her adoption story.
My husband and I decided to adopt shortly after we found out about our infertility. We prepared ourselves for the long wait to adopt from Korea but were pleasantly surprised when our agency told us about a domestic infant adoption.
What should have taken at least two to three years of waiting ended up taking a matter of months before we adopted our son, Thaddeus (a.k.a. Teddy).
I never thought after struggling with infertility I would consider myself the “lucky one” but I can truly say God has blessed us beyond measure with the way He chose to start our family.
